Sponsoring a National 3 Peaks Challenge for A Special Cause

July 5, 2018

We are so proud to be supporting our friends in their 3 Peaks Challenge, raising money for such an incredible and important cause.

Here at Carman Friend, we’re happy to get behind charities and show our support for worthy causes. But it hits home, even more, when it is so close to home. Keep reading to find out our latest sponsoring effort and how you can help!

Freddie’s Story

Kirsty and Dan, very close friends of Carman Friend director Sami and her husband Marc, gave birth to their little boy Freddie in August last year. Unfortunately, he was born with TGA (Transportation of the Great Arteries), a heart condition that required open heart surgery at just ten days old. Thankfully, Freddie’s life was saved by surgeon Ram and his brilliant team at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. Understandably, Dan and Kirsty are now keen to raise money to show their thanks for the unimaginable work that the hospital and related charities do.

Fundraising for a fantastic cause

In light of Freddie’s life-saving operation and invaluable aftercare, Dan and 24 friends and family will be fundraising for two great causes. They’ve chosen to donate to 1C Cardiac Ward at Alder Hey Hospital and Healing Little Hearts charity. Sami’s husband Marc is part of the group who will be joining in. How are they raising money? By completing the National 3 Peaks Challenge, of course! It’s certainly going to be a challenge but it will be 100% worth it. The event will take place on the 28th July in 24 hours. Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdown – here we come!

If you wish to donate…
