It’s character, spaciousness and location first attracted us to 17 Hough Green. The house has lived up to our expectations in all of these and been a truly wonderful home for fourteen years. Built in 1889, each spacious room is filled with period features. Indeed the banister on the main set of stairs was once part of a ship’s staircase! All the rooms have been modernised over the years, recently we installed a new kitchen and had the garden landscaped. Being only a 15 minute walk from Chester is so convenient, but what really surprised me after we moved was the house’s proximity to green spaces. The Duke’s Drive, River Dee and Westminster Park are only a few minutes walk away. Both sets of neighbours to the house are really lovely, and I have described them as my ‘unique selling point’.

Directions

From Chester proceed out of the City over the Grosvenor Bridge to the Overleigh roundabout taking the third exit onto Lache Lane. Take the first right onto Cavendish Road and proceed to the end of the road. Gated access to 17 Hough Green will be seen on the left hand side.
