There’s Never Been a Better Time to Get Yourself on The Property Market

September 3, 2021

Despite the past year and the pandemic and much financial uncertainty, there has never been a better time to get yourself onto the property ladder. And here’s why.

It’s September now and we’re at the beginning of a brand-new month! Let’s have a look at August and see what it can tell us about the post-pandemic future of property markets.

According to Rightmove stats, the first week of August was up 56% on the same period in 2019 and down just 17% on post-lockdown 2020. Stats have also shown that there are new record highs in the price of properties up to £1,328 (+0.6%), and second-stepper properties, up £975 (+0.3%).

In short, homes are selling faster now than ever before and so there’s a strong incentive for owners to ‘sell before you buy’. This is the best tactic for many people in order to secure their next home in this fast-moving market.

Our advice would be to get your own home valued first and ensure the move is viable before you get too excited on the next property, which could simply be sold in this market before you even have the chance to view it.  Once you know the options, putting your own house on the market is essential to stand a chance of being successful with any forward relating purchase.

The property market suffered very little from the pandemic as there is always a demand for excellent property, and the Rightmove stats suggest an Autumn bounce in prices and seller activity.
